Merit Badges
Merit Badges are not just patches on a sash, but life lessons and activities a boy may never get to do outside of scouting. These lessons/activities range from whitewater rafting to robotics to art. Though some are easy to get and others take more effort, you will always get something out of a merit badge. They can show you something new or teach you a life skill you will need later in life.
The best resource for merit badges at this time is meritbadge.org. In addition to listing every possible merit badge you can earn, it also has worksheets and resources to help you complete all requirements.
